Slowed down? Slower groups falling behind? Bodily waste? Laeliran Banks Soldiery meets up with Riparian Locus Retribution Force. At first they think each other is the enemy. This causes both sides to get ready for battle. Since what they hear is each other, they’re both a thrown off a little, the Laeliran Banks crew because they’d had it reported that they were pursuing a mostly undefended camp, and the Riparian Locus crew because they have actually seen their prey and they were all women and children. Each figuring that the enemy has somehow acquired a battle force, they find their blood lust turning to anxiety, and they prepare for the worst, buckling on better armor and forming up (along with the periodic vomiting for the newer recruits). Riparian Locus being ready first, gives the charge and rushes to meet the enemy, shouting and bellowing and banging their shields. Laeliran Banks hears them coming and prepares for the onslaught, and then it turns out it’s just the Riparian Locus soldiery, and they all fell like a deflated baloon, and there’s a good deal of cursing and spitting and laughing and running off to pee. They join ranks at that point, and then spread out, forming a sort of jagged line through the trees to ensure nobody gets away. All of this has, however, yet again, delayed them significantly. In their excitement to get at one another, they’ve plumb pooped themselves out, so, though they are chasing women with children, they are still yet not able to catch them. (In addition, all the noise they made roaring and banging their shields has, once again, providThere is an entire faction that sees the enemy coming – a faction that never had any warning the humans were coming, a very small faction, brand new, splintered off recently from one of the others. Total of around 30 members. This faction only just moved to this spot in the woods, and so hadn’t even really begun to set up camp when the humans come along. When the humans are heard coming, and identified as a war movement, the faction blends into the trees, climbing and hiding, and watches from directly overhead as the two human camps meld into one. They don’t know what the humans are saying, but it is only because the humans saw each other and charged each other that their tracks were missed and they were able to remain utterly undetected. As a result of the faction being new, there are no brand new children, but let this scene focus on a single mother who’s got her child’s mouth and nose covered so she cannot make any noise, and nearly suffocates her. Let’s them know they’re 2 days behind the other war party/raiders and invites them to travel along the road to catch up and join them. This group (not having been there for the victory) isn’t quite as anxious to run headlong into the humans, not knowing their size. Though the couple of Zhandugheen they’re speaking with are confident of their ability to conquer all, this group is disconcerted by the fact that nobody knows the human numbers, where they’re located, nothing more than ‘we won this fight’. The more they speak, the more likely it is they think that just running along a human road and wiping out establishments within reach of the woods is a terrible idea. The men they’re speaking with tell of how the Binzhmai faction, those calling for reinforcements in the east are the ones who said they should start raiding northern settlements, and so far, it’s been a rousing success. There are conversations about how some of them wish they’d get caught and killed – at least then it would be over. Emotions run high, and there’s much crying, much in-fighting, much love and anger pouring out across the nearly 1000 refugees as they flee from As the morning progesses, the front of the refugee camp notices movement in the trees, the glint of sunlight off of something – many somethings. They stop, frozen in their tracks. It doesn’t take much time to realize they’re marching directly into the sword of the enemy. The message is shouted out – “They’re upon us! We’ve walked into them!” Like fire it spreads and the screams of fright reach the ears of the Taetungesh force. They quickly realize that they’ve run across a group of Sandugan and spread out in formation, rushing forward to catch their enemy unprepared. The Zhandugheen turn around and chaos ensues. One group thinks the enemies behind them have caught them (and oh how right they are about to be) whilst another group is running the opposite direction from the Taetungesh force. Pandamonium ensues, and the refugees begin to splinter apart like a ton of glass on cement. Behind them the Riparian Locus/Laeliran Banks force hears the commotion, and quickly realizes that they’re virtually on top of the enemy. They rush forward – only to find that many of the refugees are running toward them. This lights their spirits on fire, and they draw their swords and charge. The refugees turn to flee, but it’s too late. Their enemy is upon them. The battle goes badly for the Sandugan. There are small pockets of resistance – 5 Sandugan warriors fighting here, 5 fighting there, but not enough to qualify this slaughterFollow one group as they break free from the larger mass, running northeast toward the river. Soon enough they find themselves on the cliff, looking a hundred feet down to the rushing water below. The human break through the trees and begin laughing and cooing. One of the Zhandugheen, too close to the cliff, slips and with a cry plummets, bouncing off the stone with bone crunching force until they hit the water and vanish in the whitewash. The humans come marching slowly forward, and the small group of women and children realize there is no hope. One mother cl\nProcess Group PGID: 160840"
